Large-format porcelain and natural stone are mostly imported, and 2025–26 tariffs on metal plus shifting freight have made slab pricing jumpy month to month. We quote a fixed rate per square foot installed and lock the tile allowance in writing — a mid-project price swing is ours to manage, not a surprise on your invoice.
Skilled large-format setters are scarce in Calgary right now; a 1.6 m sheet is unforgiving and most crews won't attempt it. We schedule ours early and never subcontract the cut.
